Training & Consultancy - e-safety

Over the past few years we have worked with a large number of schools who have asked us to support them with the task of keeping children and young people safe online. This page outlines some of the services which we can provide.

For staff, parents and students

Covering a wide range of issues including social networking, grooming, cyberbullying, harmful websites and radicalisation and extremism, we offer informative and engaging sessions tailored to a range of audiences. Each school has different priorities, and our service is flexible to accommodate different needs. Examples of recent work include:

  • Whole-staff training sessions
  • Presentation evenings to parents
  • Themed assemblies for students
  • Lectures for students on specific aspects of online behaviour
  • Research into usage trends for online devices
  • Centralised training for child protection staff from several schools

We would be pleased to discuss a bespoke package with you.

Partnership with SWGfL

We work in conjunction with the South West Grid for Learning to ensure that we are constantly kept up to date with the ever-changing world of online safety. As a result we are among the first to know of new developments and research which affects the way in which we can support children and young people with their use of online devices.

Online self-review

The SWGfL 360 degree safe tool provides a user-friendly an interactive means for schools to review their e-safety provision and to develop an action plan to bring about improvements. The tool is currently free of charge to schools on completion of a simple registration process. Participating schools can obtain recognition in three levels, the highest being eligibility for the e-safety mark assessment.
